Reliability & Contingency
We have a team of five regular DJs, plus a wider trusted network we can call on, so if your booked DJ is unwell we arrange cover to make sure your entertainment goes ahead as planned.
Yes. We have five DJs who work regularly as part of our team, with access to a wider pool of experienced DJs beyond that if ever needed, so you're never relying on a single individual.
We carry backup power supplies, controllers and a second laptop as standard, along with some additional lighting. Our speakers are individually powered, so in the rare event one goes down, we can continue running on the other while it's sorted. All equipment is PAT tested to help minimise the risk in the first place.
Yes. We hold Public Liability Insurance up to £10 million, meeting or exceeding what the vast majority of UK wedding venues require.
Yes, all of our equipment is PAT tested for your safety and your venue's peace of mind.
Yes, just let us know your venue's requirements and we'll send our Public Liability Insurance and PAT certificates directly to them ahead of your wedding.
Your DJ
Your DJ is named on your booking contract from the outset. Occasionally, based on the music style you've chosen through our planning system, we may match you with a different DJ from our team whose experience better suits your evening, for example pairing a younger, urban-leaning playlist with a DJ who specialises in that scene. You'll always know who's confirmed for your wedding.
We don't offer an in-person meeting as standard - our detailed online music planning system covers everything we need to know, including must-plays, do-not-plays, genres and special dedications, so there's rarely anything left to discuss in person. That said, we're always happy to jump on a call if you have questions.
Our team brings a genuinely broad mix of experience: nightclubs, bars, radio, live hosting and events, alongside DJs who are still regularly gigging in clubs and bars today. Rather than putting a single number on it, we focus on matching the right DJ's background and style to your wedding.
Yes, announcements are part of our standard service - our DJs use professional microphones for clear, confident introductions, cake-cutting and any key moments through the evening. Most of our DJs keep talking to a minimum and let the music do the work, unless there's a specific need for more.
Our DJs always dress for the occasion. Our standard dress code is smart: shirt, trousers and shoes, sometimes a tie, never jeans, t-shirts or baseball caps. If your wedding has a specific colour theme, such as black and white, just let us know and we'll dress to match.
Music & Planning
Once you've booked, you'll get access to our online wedding music planning system, where you can build your playlist, add must-play songs and let us know anything you'd rather we avoid.
You'll get access to our online music planning portal after booking. Add songs, build your playlist and approve guest song requests at your own pace. The portal closes three days before your wedding so your DJ has time to prepare and finalise everything ahead of the big day.
Yes, you can add must-play songs and a do-not-play list directly through our online planning system, along with genre preferences and any special dedications.
Yes, we're generally happy to take requests from guests on the night, as long as you're comfortable with that, and most couples are. Any song on your do-not-play list is always respected, no exceptions. If you'd prefer we stick strictly to your playlist, just let us know.
Our music planning system closes three days before your wedding, so we ask that your final choices are submitted by then.
Yes, we can cover your ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception. Because this extends the day significantly, it's priced accordingly, and for the best result, we often recommend bringing in two DJs: one for the daytime, and a fresh DJ for the evening, so your evening party gets a DJ at their best rather than one who's been working since 10am. Setup & Venue
Setup usually takes around 45 minutes, though our larger rigs can take up to an hour. We always arrive with plenty of time to be fully set up before your guests arrive.
Most of our standard setups need around 4m width by 2-3m depth, plus 2-3 standard wall sockets. We can work in smaller spaces if needed. If you're marrying in a marquee, it's worth a quick chat with us in advance, as generators shared with catering equipment, fridges and bar kit often aren't rated for DJ equipment as well, so we'll want to check the power setup works before your date.
Yes, we regularly work at venues with sound limiters and are experienced at adjusting our setup to work within them.
For evening-only bookings, we don't require a meal, though it's always appreciated if you'd like to offer something once your guests have eaten. For full-day bookings, we do ask that a meal is provided.
Yes, we're happy to liaise directly with your venue coordinator or wedding planner ahead of your wedding to confirm timings, access and any restrictions.
Add-On Services
Yes, all of our extra services can be added to your DJ booking, and we offer a discounted price on extras when you book them alongside your wedding DJ.
We offer five styles: a traditional enclosed booth, a magic mirror booth, a digital selfie pod, a 360-degree video booth, and a rustic wooden booth for barn and countryside weddings.
It depends on your guest numbers, venue space and personal preference. We offer 12x12ft, 14x14ft, 16x16ft and 20x20ft LED dance floors. 14x14ft is a great fit for a typical wedding, while 16x16ft and 20x20ft suit larger receptions.
Our light-up letters aren't generally used outdoors. The one exception is a daytime outdoor ceremony, and only where there's no chance of rain, as they aren't weatherproof. We don't use them outdoors in the evening, as things can get damp once night falls.
Dancing on Clouds uses genuine dry ice from a reputable pure CO2 supplier. The dry ice is submerged in hot water inside the machine, releasing a low-lying fog effect. It's pure carbon dioxide and does not set off smoke alarms, making it safe for indoor use. It's different from cheaper traditional smoke machines on the market, which use haze fluid rather than pure dry ice.
Yes, book your wedding DJ with us and we'll give you a discounted price on any extras you add.
